There's a lot of debate about .41 Magnum Colt Python's. Apparently Colt made a prototype, but never made more than one or two, which were never sold.
Most of the .41 Mag Python's were actually built by a custom gunsmith, possible in Florida. When the guns began to disintegrate, and the lawsuits began to flow, he stopped production and seems to have disappeared.
Apparently Colt was one of those filing suit, because people bought them second-hand and attempted to sue Colt, thinking they had purchased a factory gun.
The conversion to .41 was very well done, and many people believed they were buying a rare original Colt.
