400 Corbon

Shooters:
My doctor friend is ordering me a 400corbon reamer for Christmas. I already have a 40 S&W Kart bbl.
I'm going to "fit" the bbl to the pistol (1911) and then chamber the 40 S&W bbl. to 400 corbon.
Ouestion: Can I just chuck up the bbl in my three jaw (runs out .001TIR) and go in very slow at lowest speed with the reamer? It will contact the hood first so I'll need to go very slow?
This way I can get my headspace right as I have two boxes of Starline brass? Now, how do you guys headspace the 400? I think on the shoulder?
Give me some input if you've done this before - thanks guys!
Harry B.

Guys:
I'll guess I'm just going to figure this out on my own - the best way.
Thanks for your thoughts though; I'm worried about that first cut on the hood though but maybe they furnish a long enough pilot to guide me in - I'll, By golly, grt it done - let you know results,
Thanks Harry B.

Harry: Shawn Nealon, of Cavalry Arms, reamed a .400 Cor-Bon Accu-Match barrel for me when he worked @ Advanced Tactical Firearms, then the distributor for Accu-Match. Shawn could probably tell you how to do the job.
