need info on this round plz, saw a box of it at a gunshow and it piqued my curiosity. Any info on this round or firearm that shoots it would be helpful i'd like to get one. thanx

That's odd...

A .40 S&W is a downloaded and shortened 10mm Auto. The .40 S&W is already at the top of the case's pressure limits.

A .40 Super would be a 10mm Auto round, wouldn't it?

Does anyone else fail to see the point here?

Looks like someone is trying to cash into +p catridge craze.

Are you sure the box wasn't marked 45 Super?

The 40 super is like the 357 SIG using a bottlenecked 45case to 40 cal the original was a case like the old 45win Mag necked down 37,000psi and factory triton ammo is 1500fps with a 155gr jhp 300fps faster than remington factory 155gr 40 S&W Seems to be pretty close to what a 10mm would be with a 155gr slug.

Wow do I stand corrected. I've never heard of a 40 Super. I know of the 357 SIG and how it's made, but never realized the same was done between the 45 and 40. I guess I learned something today...
