Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with extended 40 round after market magazines? Are there any brands which are recommended and any to stay away from?

Keep in mind your anticipated use of the firearm with these. If standing or kneeling, you've got clearance. If you expect to be in a prone position, then you've got one heck of a mono-pod hanging out down there!
