There is couple of guys at the club who ran out and bought the teknys series as soon as they came out a couple of years ago. They seem to have feeding problems on the second shot. They tried everything polishing and grinding (one's a machinist) and what they came up with is this: load chamber, close bolt, load mag, RELEASE BOLT AGAIN ( so shell is sitting on top of the lifter ready for the second shot ). Does this sound right? they say everyone does it.

These guys both sound pretty dumb to me. They attempted to do their own homebrew gunsmithing? How reckless is that?
Most likely the carrier's alignment is simply off. That is something that a real gunsmith can address.
If they don't have a good gunsmith locally that works on Beretta shotguns, they can send the gun to one of the regional authorized Beretta service centers.
I'm surprised that folks wealthy enough to buy a Teknys would lack so much common sense.

I won't own a gun I cannot maintain, modify, customize and take to a higher level of fit and finish. I have never been "taught" nor have I ever done harm... Always accomplished my goals. I do not consider myself "dumb" or "reckless" for perfecting the action of my weapons, cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, computers etc...

Nope, a machinist is clearly not a gunsmith. They are two totally different professions.
The fact that the two men both COMPLETELY FAILED TO FIX THE ISSUE figured in my judgment of their skill level.
Perhaps you are a jack of all trades who can do everything for yourself. But that does not apply to everyone.
