39 Tula 91/30 that I swear I will not bubba...

Hello all, just wanted to share the nicest 91/30 in my collection so far that I picked up for $139 out the door at the local sporting store. There is a nick by the cheek rest area that was there when I bought it, any thoughts about subtle repair or just leave as is?











 
You could try steaming that nick, to see if it will swell up a little. Hard to tell how deep it goes. After that, I'd hit it with some Old English Scratch cover for light woods.

She's a beauty, I tend to prefer '39 Tulas as well! :D

Pre-war, matching, good finish. I wouldn't do more than minor restoration.

1942 and later, go ahead and Bubba one of those. Not this one, though.
