380 Auto PHD ammo ballistic test

I can't say I'm impressed. The core didn't really expand much at all. The "blades" appear to be lightweight and did not penetrate deeply enough. Actually, because only a seven inch gelatin block was used (was it calibrated?), it's hard to know if even the core penetrated deeply enough.

It's always nice to see these tests, though.

In this one minute video, my friend shot an antelope buck with a rifle. We walked out to it without the rifle, and it was still kicking.

So I took the Kel-Tec P3AT 380 out of my pocket loaded with 90 Gold Dot and enough Power Pistol to chrono at 1100 fps, and handed him the pistol.

The first round did not go off, he handed it back to me. I looked inside and the pistol was full of pocket lint. I blew some out, jacked another round, and handed him the pistol again.

The buck was kicking all 4 legs until he was hit with the 380 in the heart. Instant stoppage.

Meh. Heavy marketing; I agree with Jim's observations.

Guy at work was all fired over this stuff prob from same video. Lets let the market figure this one out, kind of reminds me of extream shock.
