.38 +p+ in a 342PD

I recently got some federal hydrashock 147 gr +P+ .38 spcl ammo for my 342PD(Scandium alloy frame with a Titanium cylinder) which is rated for +P. Any thoughts on if this is ok for OCCASIONAL shooting?

Note that Federal generally recommends that its +P+ .38 Spl ammunition only be fired in weapons rated for .357 Magnum.

I doubt it will grenade the gun, but you will likely see vastly accelerated wear & tear issues.

I was under the impression that the now (sadly) discontinued 342 had an aluminum alloy frame and a titanium cylinder and only the .357 version, the 340 has a scandium frame. Unless the frame is truly scandium, I wouldn't shoot plus P plus in it at all.
