375 H&H rifle choices

Best deal you'll probably find on one is if you can find a used push feed Post 64 M70 Winchester. In good condition they seem to go for around $500-600. Other than that you need to look for a Interarms Mark X or Whitworth for an affordable .375 H&H in a controled round feed action.

CZ would be my recommendation. Buds Gun Shop has them in stock routinely. Also, if you are willing to consider used, Sako makes a nice rifle in this caliber.

I used the CZ in .375 H&H on a recent African plains game hunt. This CZ had a custom heavy barrel, so it was a bit on the heavy side, but I carried it for 2 weeks walking every day. With the added weight of a heavy barrel , this CZ .375 H&H had the felt recoil of a 30-06. Between my mate & myself we fired about 80 rounds & both of us really enjoyed firing this CZ heavy barrel .375H&H.

Try to locate a post 1964 Winchester M 70 XTR. Mine is super accurate with Sierra 300 grain spitzers and its heavy barrel makes it pleasent to shoot. However, its's not a tabbycat.

Absolutely the BEST value in a new .375 H&H boltgun extant.

Winchester Model 70 Safari .375 H&H's, new or used, are as easy to find as hen's teeth - and more costly.

The only thing the CZ needs is to move the front sling QD stud off the forend to a barrel band.

If you can find one an interarms mark x. They are built on the large ring mauser action and sell for under $600 nib....if you can find one

Has just put my name on one. :D
