36 gr barnes varmint grenades in 22 hornet

I have a decent supply of these left over from a experiment with the swift. Can't find data for the hornet though. Looks like would make a good bullet for it. Afraid to use 35 gr data because the barnes is so long.

I had some of these left over from my own .220 Swift experiment.

I gave them to my brother, Crankylove (member here), and he used a few in his Hornet.

If he doesn't reply within the next day, or so, I'll prod him.

I used data for a 35 grain Vmax.

Don't remember velocities, but they shot/grouped well with no pressure signs, and preformed good on squirrel and rabbit sized targets, even at the more sedate velocities of the hornet compared to .223 or the swift.

I don't load them anymore since my Horner is a Ruger 77/22 Hornet, and I had to seat them down past the ogive to work with my rotory magazine. It worked just fine, but I went back to bullets like the Vmax and DogTown that play nicer with my overall length restrictions.

I use the Hornady 35gr. V-Max in my K Hornet using Lil'Gun powder. Pressures are low and that 35gr. is the most accurate bullet I have used yet. That Barns should do fine for single loading.

Listen to Longshot on this one. I love Lil' Gun for my 22 hornet rounds I use the Hornady 35 and 40 grain V-Max bullets mostly.

I also have some 35 gr vmax to try. I don't have any lil gun so I used h110. I have not had a chance to shoot them yet. I used 11gr of H110 with the vmaxs and barnes.
