357 Taurus Tracker range report #2

My first Trip out to the range with the gun was a happy one. If you remember I was getting just over one inch groups at 10 yards. Three inchers at 25. Now that I have shot many times since, I am even more happy. With a little range time I have dropped my SA group WAY down. Can you say ONE HOLE?!?! Yes, at ten yards I'm getting one hole groups. Seven shots look like just 2 rounds were fired. This was all from standing, not bench shooting. DA is still at one inch and I don't expect it to get any smaller with a 11+ lbs pull on the trigger. I am so amazed with this gun. She has shot like a champ and I really feel I got a great deal. The safety has never been used and I have had no problems with it or any part of the gun for that matter. I give it two thumbs up.:)

My wife has the same Tracker 4" SS. We love it. I haven't measured the trigger pull on it but I think it's a bit better than you're getting. Either that our the trigger geometry just works.

This was the only gun my wife could pull DA without really having problems keeping steady. We tried a bunch of S&W's at a class and a Ruger or two at gun shops.... and she either couldn't reach the trigger to get a decent grip on it (small hands) or couldn't pull without a ton of effort.

We both like the tracker, it's a shame we can't shoot IDPA with it though.

Yup, great revolver. Maybe they'll make up a special category for us in IDPA? (yeah, that'll happen!;) )

My SA trigger pull is very light and crisp, DA also very good, but I don't know the actual weights of either.

My biggest complaint right now is that I'd love to get wooden grips like a Miculek grip for it, but as far as I can tell, no-one makes anything for the Trackers, except fpr the two grips Taurus has.:(
That's a shame, nice smooth combat grip would be sweet on this gun, IMHO.
