.357 Magnum Question

Throw you some .38 specials in your .357 magnum, and blast away~!:D
BTW, the .357 magnum cartridge is LONGER than the cylinder on .38
special revolvers; so it won't fit. This is cuz there are a lot of older
.38 special revolvers floating 'round that could/would not hold up to
the magnum pressure when a round is fired~!

Question

There is no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to firearms. Always ask away before blasting away.

Rossi, shoot all the .38 Specials you want from your .357; they will work perfectly. In fact, many who use .357s practice with the shorter, less recoiling .38s. Never try it the other way around, however! Normally, a .357 won't chamber in a .38 Special because of its greater case length, but I have heard of a few cases where some "intellectually challenged person" (idiot!) managed to make it fit in one with an abnormally long chamber. Doing so tends to result in a clensing of the gene pool.:D The .357 generates almost twice the chamber pressure of the .38 Special.

Shooting .38sp out of my GP100 6" is in one word...FUN!!!!

Hardly any recoil (more of a push straight back), and more accurate than I can shoot.

Being able to shoot .38sp. is one of the reasons I bought a .357mag.

Shooting a double action revolver is a great way to learn trigger control.

I always start my range sessions with my GP100 with .38sp, then move to the 9's.

Thanks Guys

Thanks guys. On some sites the members disrespect you and call you names and then they get into a fight and you and the other guy get banned. Your right gdeal. Thanks I was almost sure that you could shoot .38 Special in a .357 Magnum revolver. I know that you couldn't do it the other way around. To me having the option of .38 and .357 is safer. Because what if you run out of bullets in the middle of a home invasion with a .357, which is unlikly, and all you have is .38s well they're better than nothing.-_- Once again thanks.
