.357 in stripper clips (No Really)

I made an interseting discover last night. .357 rounds will fit in an SKS stripper clip. Cool. With some practice I found I was making reloads just as quickly, in one night, as with speed strips, which has taken months of practice. Holding onto the stripper place a round in the chamber and pull away and repeat. Smooth and fast. This worked especially well with my 8-shot Taurus 608 for which the only speed loaders available that I've found are Maxfires. (Damn Maxfire POS  )) I plan to cut some down tonight for my Taurus 606 and 651. While these aren't as fast as speedloaders they are more compact and retain the cartridges better than speed strips. If you don't believe me on how fast it is just try it.

Highwayman,

You just might be onto something. Especially for the "last" reload. Maybe after a couple of speedloaders. Or when speedloaders are too bulky.

You know the 308/30-06 stripper clips would work the same way with my 45 ACP revolver.

Thanks for the tip...

Good shootin'

I've used SKS stripper clips for years as a reload for my .38's & .357's. If you have a 5-shot snubby, it gives you two reloads in a package as compact as a 1911 magazine. :D

My next project is to see if they can be "modified" to take .45LC, .44SPL, or .41Mag. Keep your fingers crossed... ;)
