.357 Gold Dot or CorBon?

According to the calender it's time once again to replace my carry rounds. For the most part, I've carried CCI Gold Dots in whatever gun I've been carrying. Right now I carry 125gr Gold Dots in my Taurus 605, but I wonder about expansion from the 2 inch barrel. The 110gr CorBon intrigues me. Has anyone studied these in a 2 inch barrel? How do they compare in the recoil department? I can handle the Gold Dots pretty well, but I'm not ashamed to admit that they make me abit jumpy after 20 or so rounds.

In my snubbies the Dots shoot better for me. The Corbons are plenty strong and seem to recoil less than the Dots. But the Dots hit more towards the POA. I dont know if Id worry about expansion...the little Dot is traveling with enough velocity it may not have a problem. An average of 1250 fps from a 2" barrel is what we got from it. But then again I dont know what velocity the bullet was designed with in mind.

The Corbon hits differently...both recoil and POA vs POI. Moreso, in some guns...shoot it and see how it does.

Shoot well

Try a box of each and see which is the most accurate in your gun. I have an M-19 that loves the Gold Dots but hates the Corbons. On the other hand, my M-28 prefers the Corbons.

I guess that's the route I'm gonna have to take, just get a box of each , some wet newspaper (I'm quite the scietific shooter:p ) and see how things come out.
