357 Ammunition

What type of store bought ammunition would you recommend for a model 1894 marlin 357 lever action rifle to use for deer hunting? Any suggestions will help with hunting season approaching I don't really have the time to work up a load for it. So I am deciding to try factory loads. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

maybe american eagle 158 SP or remington 158 JHP would work for you.

Definitely SP over HP for penetration and Hornady 180 gr SP is another option although I have had good luck with both 158 gr JSP and LSWC.

Agree, a soft point 158 grain and above.

I don't know if it's absolutely necessary, but Buffalo Bore offerings will probably give you the most punch you'll get out of a .357.

158 to 180 grain JSP.
SWC would be a good choice except they might not feed well.
