I have a .357 blackhawk I would like to be a convertible to 9mm.
Anyone know about how much money for a new cyl.& fit??
Would I be better off just to buy a knew one,,,excuses, excuses.
Will Ruger do it or do I need to look at other smiths in my area??

How do you get the rimless 9mm to stay put in the cylinder? Some kind of metal clip? I have not heard of this with 9mm, so maybe you can enlighten me.

bountyh they space on the case mouth in a single action revolver. Since single actions push the cases out with a rod they don't need to have a rim, same as using the 50 AE in the Freedom Arms, 10mm Blackhawk etc.

Brownell's sells factory Ruger parts - pick up a 9mm cylinder and hope it fits your gun - if not, any competent gunsmith SHOULD be able to fit it.

If you have to go that route, consider a Belt Mountain base pin at the same time, it'll take up some of the "slop" in the cylinder fit and the final result in 9mm will come out better if the gunsmith does the fitting with a Belt Mountain pin in place.
