.35 rem --- with .358 lead 357 round?

I have a Remington Model 8A in .35 remington. And I was wondering if I could use a .357 lead bullet in this rifle, since they are both the same diameter.

I understand there is a difference in weight of about 40 grams, would this be a problem?

Has anyone done this?

Thanks for the information.

Pistol bullets in a 35 Remmington?

The diameter is the same and some loading manuals use to/still do list a 158 grain jacketed load. I can NOT say if it would do any good to load LEAD bullets because, any velocity over about 800 feet per second will cause ledding.
Going jacketed bullets for "varments" would be Ok.

I've been shooting a 158 grain Speer jacketed pistol bullet in my Marlin 336. I use IMR 3031 to get about 2100 fps with this bullet which is fairly accurate....it'll take care of just about any vermin you'd meet.

Cast bullet would be a little different, but the boys at the Cast Bullet Association <http://www.castbulletassoc.org/> get 2700fps with their rifles and cast bullets with no leading problems. They have a listserv you might want to join.
