35 lumens

is 35 lumens bright enough of a light to put on the end of a tactical pistol?

obviously the brighter the better, but i really don't know what to compare 35 lumens to besides the obvious "35 candles".

the question "well it depends what it's being used for" will come up.

.... sitting on my night stand.

it's not very dark in my house normally, and i'd like shoot so much light at them they go into seizures.

i guess another question would be, what's a good pistol flashlight / laser combo that would be worthy of being used for swat?? post links so i can compare to what i'm looking at lol.

thanks guys.

Take a look at Veridian's C5L compact and X5L. I put 2 C5's on our Sig's and I can assure you that the flashlight is bright and the strobe will definitely blind and make them dizzy.

No it's not. 35 lumens is hardly any light at all. I would go with a minimum of 120.

Insight makes good lights.

So does Surefire, but they lobbied for the NDAA so they could get DHS contracts. I will no longer give them my business.

how do lasers do in daylight at a gun range?
Terrible unless it's indoors and REALLY dark.

A good flashlight will cost you some money. That's why I got a tactical hand held flashlight. I needed a good light and more often then not I don't want to point my gun where I point my light.
