338 Marlin Express

This might be better suited for the Gun Show area, but here we go.

A coworker's daughter is looking for the "perfect gift" for her husband and he has always wanted a stainless, laminate stock, .338 Marlin Express.

Pretty sure that the stainless version is the 338MXLR.

I have checked all the usual places - Armslist, Gunsamerica, & Bud's - and all were out of stock or not even listed.

I even did a Google shopping search, which did come up with some results, but none of the listed "sellers" actually had the rifle in stock.

Anyone have any idea where I could find one of these?

Marlin was bought out a few years ago by the company that also owns Remington. They moved lever action production to a different factory and had some teething problems. They've shut down lever action production temporarily, so they have been hard to find for the last few months.
