338-378 Weatherby Magnum

Does anyone have any experience with this cartridge yet. I read that Weatherby is releasing the Accumark chambered in the 338-378 this year. I have read very good things about the 30-378 and the Lazzeroni Warbird, but want something a bit bigger for grizzly, moose, and eland. Any comments?

I own a weatherby 30-378 accumark. Weatherby
sells ammo in 165 180 an d 200 grain ammo. I have a friend who reloads and I'm going to have him do me boxes in 250 and even 300 grain for the moose and grizzly. Not that a 200 out of this gun wont kill one, but is I get "up close" to a grizzly, as often happens
in Alaska, I want to whack it hard. There is lots of re-loading data for this cartridge, including 250 grain and larger. email me if you need further info.

I looked at one of th 30-378 Accumarks the other day. A great looking gun, and the ballistics are terrific. I hope you reload, because the Weatherby ammo in the store was $96.00 a box.
