Saw a beautiful, blue steel, LNIB .32 Detective Special yesterday. While I'm predominatley a S&W fan this little beauty really caught my eye but the price tag, little over $500 turned me away. What's the scoop on this revolver, in this caliber as far as desireability, collectibility, price, etc? Just can't seem to get this one out of my head. TIA

P.S. The box was red if that makes any difference or helps to date it. Didn't get the serial number.

Colt Lunacy

I own mostly Colts, but that is just getting crazy. If we stop paying these ridiculous prices...................never mind I see the same gun show dealers carry the same guns around for 3 years. Can't sell them, so they raise the price each year. If you really want that gun you can either tell all the pawn shops & gun stores that you want one at X price. Takes a while. Usually works.

Then again, if money is an object, buy it, it sure won't drop in price if you keep it in the same shape you bought it. On all Colts the original box is what makes or breaks a Colt sale these days.
