The M1895 Nagant is available in .32 Nagant and .32 ACP. Since the Nagant round is rare, I have been informed that the .32 long colt can be substituted. Does anyone know the relative ammo performance of the .32 long colt vs. the .32 ACP?

32 ACP ammo can only be fired in the Nagant with an after market cylinder. The cylinder I bought for mine would not turn at all in double action and only with a lot of hassle in single action. I went back to the original cylinder. As far as performance my experience has been: 1. 7.62 X 25 Nagant; 2. 32 Long; and 3. 32 ACP.

Don't confuse the .32 long colt with the .32 long. What you want is .32 long and not .32 long colt. The two are not interchangeable in most guns and I don't think you want to shoot the colt round in the nangant revolver. rc
