30rd mags in CA?

Say someone was in the military in the late 80s to early 90s and had some old 30 and 20 rd Colt steel mags from then in thier collection.
I'm guessing they would be considered illegal even though they were pre-ban.
If not how would one prove they were pre and not post.

Thanks BC

The post ban magazines are stamped Military & Law Enforcement only. Also if the contract # for the mags is stamped on the floorplate you can find the date of manufacture.

If you had them prior to the ban then you can still own them, if there's a stamp/date code on them and they're post ban then you need to take them apart. You can still legally own "parts" as you never know when one of your pre ban mags might get damaged.
