The cartridge itself is a good one ballistically,but doesn't do anything better than a 300 win.mag. The ammo is hard to find in my area ,and expensive when you do. The rifle I had was not up to the task,so I never got to play with it much.
the 308 norma round is easy to load for,just use win 338 mag brass. run it up in your 308 norma size die and trim if needed and load. the 338 brass can also be used to load 358 norma too by necking it up in the 358 norma size die. eastbank.
The 300 WM brass also works very well in resizing for the Norma. Just run the WM brass in a Norma trim die - RCBS makes them - and it pushes the shoulder back and is ready for trimming.
