.308 Norma Mag vs. .300 Win Mag

I am torn between the two. I have a Sako magnum action that I would like to use to build a "long range" rifle -1000 yds. I will be reloading so ammo cost and availability is not a concern. I have read good things about accuracy from the .308 Norma. My set-up will likely be Sako action, Hart or Shilen match barrel, and a Leupold Mark IV 10X held in place with Sako rings shooting 210 gr. Berger bullets. Any thoughts on caliber and this set-up.

The two cases are all but identical, ballistically speaking. The Norma has the advantage of a longer neck.
This alows deeper bullet seating, and helps accuracy.
It also helps when reloading.

I like the .308 Norma a lot better.

You may also want to look at some of the .308 cases based on the .404 Jeffries cartridge. They are beltless, and have ample powder capacity. I believe that the .300 ultra mag is one such.
