308 Lapua brass (new)

I'm gonna mess around with a few different components, specifically new Lapua brass and CCI-200 primers. I've read a couple different posts that people don't trim or size the new brass before loading. Should I just load them or size and trim before I load? I did measure a couple cases and some varyed by a .001 of an inch. (And of coarse I'm going to start low and work my way up)

Thanks guys

I run them through a neck sizing mandrel to ensure the case mouths are round in case they were dinged during transport.

If the case mouth is out of round it will shape right up when the bullet goes in. Lapua is some of the best brass, but I stopped doing anything to any new brass several years ago. Take it out of the box, prime and load. Never had any problems with several brands.

Load first and shoot. Then trim after they have stretched their initial default amount from the first firing. But resize before doing the trimming.
