Where o where can I buy some ammo for my fathers ol 99. The runs of ammo they have put on the market in recent years are terrible shooters in this gun. I want some original ammo does anyone have any ideas????

You could look at Buffalo arms I think they load for the .303 Savage. However if you want a usable rifle you'll need to start reloading for it.

check midwayusa.com & natchezss. com , I've been reloading for my 300 savage m99 for years. shoots best with 150 round nose, go figure.

Thanks for all the help guys. And I'm gonna pull the trigger on the reload process. Might as well go big and start for all my rifles :D

Amazingly its pristine! Considering it has been a truck gun for 3 generations and has killed upwards of a thousand deer on the farm for sure. It shoots original factory ammo MOA at 100 yards

It's hard to argue about your decision to get into reloading- especially with winter setting on. It's easy to prep all your brass in one stage, then sort it by caliber, then start the testing/building stages.

That's very true we have horrific winters in my neck of the woods. Heated garage and a stocked cooler sounds mighty nice when its 10 degrees.
