3006 neck sizing ?

My 165 gr. Nosler BTs are .307" and my typical RCBS 3006 neck sizer die is reducing the neck to .305 " .

Is this good for proper bullet seating ?

Thanks !

Bullets should be snug and neck tension is then sufficient for consistent pressure levels across a batch of reloads without crimping. How snug? I don't know the number to re-size to. I just adjust the collet die as directed and, test by feel. It has worked well so far. I'd suggest giving it a try. Just guessing but, I think you'll find it to work perfectly. God Bless

My Lee dies size the inside diameter of the neck to about .306 maybe slightly less. This is with the full length dies and the the Lee neck sizer is the same.
Outside neck diameter measures .330 .
Measured Remington brass fired 2 times. (Measured outside diameter and subtracted the thickness)(measures .305 if I measure the inside diameter but the calipers don't have a knife edge so I don't consider that as accurate). So I guess you are in the ballpark.
We've been shooting with them a long time.

.001-.002 is just about ideal for a bolt. If you press the loaded rounded against a bench with reasonable force you should not be able to push the bullet deeper.
