300 wsm powder advice

I am getting ready to start reloading and have most of my stuff except the powder that I want is on backorder. I have used 180 grain Accubonds in my 300 wsm commercially loaded from Federal with pretty good results. The Nosler reloading guide that I bought suggests Hybrid 100 V as the most accurate powder with a 180 gr Accubond but no one seems to have it in stock! Any suggestions on another powder that would be similar and accurate? Should I just wait and hope the Hybrid 100 V is available in a few months?

Thanks in advance, this is my first post.

4831 and 4350 are both powders that I've had good luck using in 7 WSM, 7 Rem Mag, and 300 Win Mag.

Welcome to the forum too.

I have loaded Nosler partition 180s with IMR 4350. Look into the alliant reloader rifle powders. I have always been intrigued by rl 19 or 22 in this applicatio.

I load Hornady Superformance with Nosler 150 partitions. Switched to 150 Interbonds this year and watched the groups shrink to under 1moa. This shoots love a laser out to 350 yards on game.

I use two different powders myself but have experimented with several.

For full power loads: Ramshot HUNTER (I use this with a 200g Barnes LRX at a bit over 2800 fps, my Model 70 loves this combo.)

For reduced loads: VARGET with a 165g Accubond or Federal Trophy Bonded Tipped at about 2900 fps. (A good Deer load that is still enough power for ANYTHING.)

Have fun.

Thank you guys for all of your advice. Looks like 4350 got a lot of votes, so I will swing by the local shop and see if they have that or the reloader 17 or the Ramshot Hunter. I am excited to see how this turns out!

I use a max load of Varget under a Barnes 168gr TSX for my hunting load. 1-1.5" groups at 300 yd.

Have had good accuracy with both IMR and H4350 using load suggested by Mr. Barsness.

I recently sold mine, but H4350 worked best for me. A max charge (don't recall what it was) gave me right at the predicted 2950 fps with very good accuracy with several 180 gr bulllets.

RL17 is supposed to be a very good powder and they advertise a little over 100 fps more speed. But I was still about 2 gr under max when I saw speeds spike and got pressure signs. I had a few rounds loaded with more powder, but never fired them. I found that when I backed off until the speed was right at 2950 all was good.

Accuracy at 2950 was just as good as H4350 at that speed. But since I didn't feel I could safely get any more speed I never spent any more time with RL17. But I do read about lots of guys getting good results with that powder.

I actually got the best accuracy using the new Hornady ELD-X 200 gr bullets at about 2800 fps with H4350.
