very nice find MJ1, I need to find me a nice MKII for very cheap.

out of curiosity was that designed as an optics ready rifle or was the raised cheekpad just an addition to an existing rifle. I ask because I wasn't aware of any MKII snipers ever made.

Lot of mil-surp match shooters that are serious about accuracy with the No4 well add the No4(T) cheek rest. Those Brits must have had very short necks, adding the cheek rest really improves a consistent cheek contact.
