30 round Glock mag question

How reliable/well made are 30 round 9mm Glock magazines?

The gun store advertisement simply lists them as "Glock 9mm 30-rnd steel - (Aus) $90".

If they are factory, I would trust them. More than likely, they are aftermarket and you will take your chances. They will also hang out the bottom of your pistol like you have two magazines taped together.

Glock does not make steel mags!

Does not sound like a real Glock mag. The ones I've seen are polymer, not steel, 29-rd mag body with a +2 extension for a total of 31 rds of 9mm.

I would not insert a steel mag into a plastic gun as it may cause heavy wear on the mag well and mag catch, not to mention decreased reliability from an after-market magazine.

You are in Australia correct?

If so, I would stick with factory Glock 18 mags.

I believe that they are 1st Generation style magazines of 31 rounds without extensions.

I had a 33 round one with a factory 2 round extension. It never gave me any problems.

I would stay away from steel after-market mags in the Glock due to reliability and excessive wear concerns.

33 Round magazine.

I have a couple of GLOCK Factory magazines.

They are 31 rounds with a +2 floorplate.

I replaced the factory spring with a Wolf just cuz.

They all work great in my G17.

I say stick with factory. I ain't got no input on the Scherer ones...:p
