.30 cal bore snake question???

I need a little help with my confusion. I have been looking to buy a .30 caliber bore snake for an M1 Carbine. I find bore snakes that fit .308, 30-30, 30-06 and so forth. When they say .30 caliber, then all 30 calibers are the same when it comes to cleaning items? Items such as bore brushes, mops ect, am I right in assuming this? Will the same bore snake for a 30-30 fit the 30 carbine? Will it also fit the 30-06? I have found one site that sells a bore snake for just the 30 carbine which leads me to beleive they are different. I need some professional advice. Thanks. Bob

As far as I know, it is the same thing. I use .30 cal boresnakes on, .30 carbine, 30-30, 308, 30-06 300 wsm, etc.

A boresnake in fully relaxed position is .311 caliber which is perfect for a Mosin Nagant. Give it 5 pounds of tension and it necks down to .308 which will fit everything else except .303 SMLE's. For SMLE's you have to use 8 pounds of tension on the cord.
