30-30 Ammo Question.

Can any of you experts tell me, if anyone makes a 30-30 round larger than the 150 or 170 grain rounds. Thanks.

None that I know of. There is a round called the .303 Savage. It is in the same class as the 30-30, but was loaded with a 190 gr. bullet at about 1950 FPS. I would like to get some of those bullets to try in my 30-30, but as far as I know, they aren't available.
I don't shoot many jacketed bullets in my 30-30's anymore, as I can get the same results with cast lead bullets. Using the RCBS 30-180FN mold, the bullets casts out at 189.9 gr. Data for the .303 Savage and 30-30 are interchangeable. So I don't need Winchester's 190 gr. Silvertip after all.
I think that is the only way you will be able to get a heavier bullet for your 30-30.
