So I was at the range today, and noticed a fellow shooter got up and went home, he was shooting an m1 garand and left his brass. I stopped him before he left and asked about the brass. He said take it. He also threw away 3 enbloc clips.

So question is, how good is this brass?
The sealant still intact on the primer, nice annealing on shoulder and case mouth. So I'm thinking these were sealed well and just seen their first firing.

very good brass

primer pockets will need swagged or reamed

usually heavier than commercial brass so your load may
need to be reduced

Fill one of your fired cases with water before depriming. Do the same with the LC brass and compare the difference in volume to check for case volume. Adjust your load from that if you need to. But any new brass you load should be loaded a little lighter to check pressure before working up the load.

Well I picked them up, that doesn't mean I have the gun to shoot them in :-/ so I have about 50 of these and 3 enbloc clips that need a good home. :-/

I have an M1 and a small batch of LC brass of that vintage I wouldn't mind adding to :D maybe I have some brass you can use, if interested in a little horse trading?
