I know Lake City ammo is good, but what about Twin Cities ammo and other arsenal ammo?

Also, if you reload for your Garand, what do you use?

Thanks

Chris

TW (Twin Cities) is good ammo for use in the Garand, along with most of the 30.06 ammo produced from ammunition plants during the life span of the M1.
Even the corrosive years was good ammo. You just have to do a very thorough cleaning afterwards.
If you reload stick with IMR 4895, H4895, IMR 4064, AA 2520. These powders are safe to use with the M1. I'm sure there are more but this is what I've used with confidence.

I agree with "Target shooter" I reload with IMR-4895.
48grs with 147 FMJ bullet.
I bought a case of Yugo 06. The price was right. Just a little more cleaning.
If it goes down range! I'll shoot it.:)

I'm using some delinked .30-06 of 1940s manufacture. It shoots really well. I just scrub, scrub, scrub after I am finished.

There is also American Eagle (Federal) and Winchester USA brand 30-06 with 147gr FMJ available. It costs more than the surplus stuff, but less than hunting ammo. The USA brand 30-06 was discontinued, but has re-appeared in stores and the Winchester website.

Mostly I shoot USGI Lake City of 60's vintage. This is left over from what I do not shoot at DCM matches. Anyone who qualifies to buy a DCM rifle can buy ammo from them as well, www.odcmp.com

I have heard of yugo 30-06, but what gun did the Yugoslavians shoot it from? Or is this just entrepeneurship on their part?
