3 styles of S & W .38 breaktops

Here is my little S & W collection, a single action, double action, and DAO (new departure) in .38. All are shooters and all are prior to turn of the century, so they get fed black powder handloads. Real fun little target guns, would not be pleasant to be shot with in a defensive situation, but you will see why the .38 spl superseded this low powered cartridge.

Those are good looking. My two aren't Smiths but they are fun to shoot with very mild handloads. Both are .38S&W.

Beautiful guns! I love the owlshead grips, but those mother of pearls have a really stunning look to them

They won't; the J frame grip is longer, but guess what? The reverse is true, J-frame wood grips will fit the old S&W's if some wood is removed at the bottom, and most J-frame grips will fit with some adjustment.
