Here in Indiana, we have several vanity plates. most of them are for colleges, enviroment, lions club, black-expo, POW, veterans, etc...
The good thing about these plates is proceeds from them go to that particular cause or organization. I wrote the NRA over a week ago for the suggestion, and I haven't gotten a response. I know they are swamped, but they could make some money on this and I am sure many of us would want one as soon as they become availible. I think it is a great idea and urge others to encourage the NRA or GOA or whatever you want to follow up on this excellant opportunity to let us show our pride and in turn give money to a benficial and noteworthy cause.

I like the idea, but it might be hard to adopt in all states.

How about a licence plate frame, licence plate, or trailer hitch cover? You guys in Indiana don't have a requirement for front plates so you could put one of the nifty NRA plates there.

Oklahoma has NRA special edition plates available, but do you really want a car parked in front of your house screaming that there are guns inside?

I see your point jeff, I dont have a garage, but I have both NRA and GOA stickers on my truck. I have a safe but, it hasn't stopped other people. I just thought with the current media culture trying to tell people to be embarrassed to own a gun, we should show a little pride. Hey, they get some money in the process too!

I have displayed TSRA, NRA, and Certified Instructor emblems on my vehicles for over 15 years without any problems.
