2nd barrel for nef handi-rifle

I picked up a 2nd barrel for a handi-rifle. Unfortunately, when I installed the barrel, it is too loose on the action. I was hoping it would be too tight, and then I could machine it to fit. I don't know what to do since it is too loose. Or is it just hopeless? Thanks, Greg
 
was interested as to what kind of accuracy you are getting from yours, i just bought one in 270 winchester but hadn't had a chance to fire it yet
 
H&R Barrels

I tried to get an extra barrel for my NEF .223 but the cmpany told me they no longer sold the .357 Magnum. They did tell me that to get an extra barrel installed that I'd have to send them the reciever/ stock so they could fit it up with another barrel. But if I couldn't get what I want, I'd rather just go buy another rifle in another caliber.
