280 Remington Load for Elk?

Next year will go to Colorado for first elk hunt. Using existing rifle
this year. Which would be better load? Federal 160 grain Trophy Bonded rounds or the Speer Grand Slam 160 grain Nixtrex loads. Let me hear your thoughts. Thanks.
 
Either of the two mentioned. Don't overlook Remington Corelokt bullets. These are premium bullets w/o the hoopla. 150 grain Corelokt bullets out of a 7MM Rem Mag are just the ticket for elk...and the 280 Rem is not too far short of its big brother.

If Reminton had introduced these bullets today they'd be referred to as premium bullets. Jack O'Connor loved them; however, in the 175 grain 7MM flavor he thought they were too stoutly constructed, which is why he favored the 150 grain 7MM Rem Mag Corelokts.
