280 Remington elk bullet

So I have some 140 grain Remington Ultra bonded core lokt loaded. It's dropped big deer like the hammer of Thor all being pass-through. Great Exit Wounds and wound tracks. Great bullet. My question is will it work on big game like elk like it does these muleys and Midwest Whitetail?
 
Should work just fine. I have a .280 Rem and wouldn't hesitate with that load to take it elk hunting if it was accurate in my rifle.
 
Agreed. I hunt elk with 150gr partitions in my 280 just because I have a buttload of them and they group. But I would feel perfectly and equally as capable in the elk woods with your load as well.

If it can be killed with a .270 it will die from a shot with a .280.

Your bullet is a great choice for the round. It would be great in a .270, too.
