28 gauge!

A fun little gun, but I'm looking for a less expensive source for Winchester AAs in 28 gauge. I am a reloader, and prefer the AA in 28 gauge due to the longevity of the hulls for multiple reloads.

Does anyone have a good source for Winchester AA on-line? The cheapest that I can find in the Dallas area is $7.25 per box (plus sales tax = $78.50 per flat). Gamaliel's in Kentucky has it for $70.00 per flat shipped (in 5 flat quantity).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Bud

P.S. If you have never shot a 28 gauge, you don't know what you are missing!

K80Geoff says that, too. The most fun you can have with your clothes on, or sumpin.

My problem is I need to get enough lead up there to create an advantage against those pesky birds so I shoot short magnum 12s for skeet... :p

Wallyworld doesn't carry anything other than 12 and 20 gauge in my neck of the woods, and their prices on AAs are higher than Academy anyway. :(

Back to the top for the weekend crew.

My memory was wrong.

The Winchester AA in 28 gauge was purchased from Sportsman's Guide Shooter's catalogue 2002 Fall edition. $6.99 per box ($6.64 for Buyer's Club members). In case they still have them in stock, the number to call is 1-800-888-3006. The catalogue stock number is HX2A-26526.

Best way to buy bulk 28 is to check out the local skeet club. Find some hardcore skeeters and ask them where to buy. Quite often groups of shooters band together and buy bulk ammo and components.

Used to get mine through a dealer working out of an industrial park. He sold mostly to clays shooters and had good prices.

If there is a major competition in your area check out the vendors.
