28-2, new irons?

Not factory. But with enough money, anything is available.

But with the Model 28 S&W, the very best sights are the ones that come on the gun.

Looked at the front sight, dont want to modify it so i guess that leaves rear sight... Maybe white outline or... Stick with me, it's a stretch but maybe a peep sight? Man a peep would be cool.

Old cop trick is to paint the ramp with bright color nail polish. I have bought several ex cop guns so treated. Works, cheap and isn't permanent.

Over time the factory sights on a model 27 or 28 ...haven't really bothered me - even as my 65 yr old eyes are not getting any better. Sure, it could be modified..but that will detract a little from what the model 27's and 28's really are..a great classic N frame. Model 27's and 28's are my all time favorite revolver - especially the older 27's in Nickel.

You can find a "model Paint" set sold in a lot of gunstores...with about 9 different colors in them ....white, day glow yellow, day glow green, orange, etc.../ they will all come off if you get any cleaning solvents near them...but if the sights really drive you crazy, try the paint.

I have a 28-2 that the rear sight broke and I replaced it with a white outline rear sight. I also used gloss white paint on the front sight so I could see it better in low light situations.

With funds you can do anything with an N frame. This was a 28 that I had built into a 44 special. The front sight I had an insert installed and the rear sight has a white outline.
This one was done back in the early 80’s

I had a Hi-Point with a peep-sight once. They called it a "ghost ring" but it was a peep sight.

It worked, but it didn't work any better than the conventional sights. While it didn't look goofy on a Hi-Point, a Hi-Point isn't a Smith & Wesson Model 28.

I just use cheap nail polish I got from the dollar store. A bottle of while for a base, and a bottle of day glow orange. Less than three bucks for both.
