No it doesn't exist..........yet.

Remington has created a 7mm Magnum based of off the .300 Winchester Short Magnum so why not a new .270 Magnum?

Considering the Case volume a .270 would be about perfect for the new magnum case.

Or am I the only one who thinks this would be a winner?

Zorro: Ross Seyfried is ahead of you. The August issue of Handloader has a few paragraphs about a .270 WSM. Although Winchester had not officially declared the cartridge, Ross went ahead and ordered a chambering reamer based on a .277 version of the .300 WSM.
Good Shooting, CoyDog

speaking of short .270, I read some time ago (10+ years )an article on short wildcats in which a 7x57 was necked down to 277, with very good results, about the same of the parent cartrige. Now, if you want it really short, why not neck down a 7.08, or neck um a .260?

No I Am thinking of a factory Cartridge to match the .270 Weatherby Magnum AND embarass the 7MM STW.

Without severely shortened Barrel life.

:)

270 WM is my favorite for long range shooting, and I`m lickin` my lips, waiting for it to become available too! Stock up on RL22 now, because you`ll burn alot of it!!
