264 lbc chambering in a 6.5 grendel

I recently bought a cheapo anderson grendel barrel for $100 because I had some cases and dies left over from the last 264 lbc I had built and sold, so decided to make a new build. It shoots fine--pretty much MOA at 100. However--I've had a few cases fail to fully extract and I've checked the dimensions of fireformed vs sized (full length small base).

At first I thought I had a gas issue--but the sized brass coming out of the 264 lbc die I've noticed will chamber only with difficulty--my impression is that the different shoulder angle of the 264 case is causing a "wedge" effect in the grendel chamber shoulder.

Does this sound plausible or am I dreaming? (I am about to buy "normal" grendel die)

Any markings on the cases to indicate where they are grabbing? Have you painted one of the tight resized cases that don't chamber with Magic Marker or layout die to see where it scrapes on the way in?

Good idea comparing the shoulder datum lines of the chamber vs. the sized 264 case--I should have thought of that--I'll let you know. : )

So simple a caveman could do it--but I didn't think of it cause I couldn't see at it at first and came up with my over-thought explanation--duh.

A small piece of debris has imprinted in the neck area of the chamber but sure enough showed in the marker covered case.

Thanks Nick--
