25 acp colt junior

I saw one sold at local GUNSHOP the other day for $100 plus tax. There was some minor bargaining, but I believ it was only marked $129 to begin with. This one had some noticible pitting on the slide, especially at muzzle end. The wood stocks were a little dinged up. Perfect mechanical shape--looked as if it had been pocket-carried a good bit, and not babied.

I think I'd pass at $250 unless documented to have belonged to some notable.

Best,
RR

I have a Colt 1908 Pocket Pistol in .25ACP in mint condition. It's easily worth more than $250. I have to admit that I don't know exactly what a Colt Junior is, is that similar to the 1908?

Yeah, the Colt Juniors were made in Spain by Astra before the GCA of '68. Afer that I think Colt assembled some from Spanish parts and American made frames. It was an ASTRA .25 with Colt markings, nice enough little guns and they apparently sold well.

Guys, years ago there was a safety recall on these little .25acp Colts. Followup on it and make sure that the one you buy has been back to the factory.
