I just wanted to share a little post mortem report on a 100 pound razorback hog. I found it interesting because this rifle is new and this is the first game animal I've taken with it. Rifle is a Stevens 200 in .243, cartridges: Federal Power Shok 80 gr. soft point. Hog presented himself at about 10 yards broadside. The bullet entered above the right shoulder and broke the spine. There was an exit wound was in the same place over the left shoulder. The hog expired within a couple of seconds. Upon skinning, I noticed that many bone fragments had been projected through vitals and meat. the shoulder near the entry point was very damaged and there was lots of internal bleeding. I was quite surprised by this as the bullet seems to have stayed together. At least I couldn't find any fragments.
