Hi folks. I'm shooting a .243 Win and working up a load for it. The components in using is

85gr Sierra GameKings
IMR4350
R-P Brass, sorted
Rem 9-1/2 Primer

Here's a ladder test, followed by an OCW on separate days.

Would appreciate any insight on the range data. Looking to settle in on a charge before playing with seating depth.

In the FWIW category
* IMR4350 may be too slow for the 85 grainers. I used to load mine with IMR3031, it shot under 1/2 MOA.

* Seating distance off the lands makes a huge difference. I found that seating the bullets .010 off the lands worked well. Try different seating depths.

* Doing ladder tests, once I find powder charges that shoot well I start working with seating depth to fine tune the load.

42 gr works for me, using CCI Br2 and Win or Rem brass. Brass sorted by weight after prep. Accuracy will be different between bullet lots. Try some Berger 90 gr hpbt match bullets. Part Number 24425

I'm sorry but it is impossible for me to tell what I am looking at. In the bottom pic it looks like the 2 groups on the left is a node and the 3rd one is at the edge of the node as the 4th group you can barely see is all over the map.

Off point here but before you get tocarried away I would change primers and powder. CCI BR-2 primers and 4895 powder. Then run your tests again. I bet you will like what you see. Rem Primers have gone down hill in the quality dept.
Bullet choice is great though, same thing I shoot.

Thanks for the input guys. If I get a chance to get my hands on the CCI primers and powder, I'll give it a shot.
