While I don't have the Encore, I have just over a half dozen of the Contenders and have to say they are plenty accurate.
Get out and find like mentioned the Lyman manual which has the Contender and Encore loads listed in them. Or you might look at those all in one books for Contender or Encore. Either way, you will be ahead in the game.
With the standard load manual, the listing for the top velocity with which ever weight bullets are usually going to be the fastest in your handgun. That said, you still need to keep a check on the pressures.
One other thing, no matter which one you get, don't discount factory ammo, even the cheaper stuff. With my 223 AI barrel I shoot the Winchester 45gr Varmint loads. I initially got them due to them being in a 40round box for only about 12 or so bucks. I figured I would get some decent rounds for plinking around with as well as doing a little varmint culling. After shooting about two boxes of them, I decided that they weren't a fluke and purchased a case of them. I figured I came out ahead not having to purchase the loading stuff and then trying to find something that shot better. Here is a nice 10 shot group I got at 100yds with them,
I also have a 7x30 Waters, and a 30-30 AI which will get things just about as close with even the cheap loads like bulk Rem CL's and H4895 in the 30-30, not to mention the cheap factory loads, and with the 7x30 several powders do a great job with the 140gr bullets. I only tried one box of factory in it due to price. I think they were Fed 120gr Partitions. I only got them because I was buying the whole piston and didn't have anything at all to load them with.
Good luck with your choice I hope you will post back up on your results.
