22LR shotshell experiences

I'd like to hear from people who have actually used 22LR shotshells on pests, particularly snakes. Tell me about your experience.

I have a buddy that I trust who has used nothing else on snakes, shooting a Ruger Bearcat. He says he uses both CCI and Winchester rounds.

I've shot rats with them. Regular .22 ammo worked better and .410 worked great.

Waste of time & money IMHO.
Won't break a clay pidgeon laying on the ground at 10 feet even when shot from a rifle. Lotsa little holes but unbroken.
