,22lr / .22 Mag bullet width

I've read that the widths of .22lr and .22 Mag bulletsare different. If this is true, would the difference effect the accuracy of a dual cylinder gun like a Single Six?
 
That's correct. Nominal bore diameter for a .22 is 0.223, but for the .22 Mag. it's .224. My understanding is that the convertible guns have the larger bore diameter. I doubt that it would have much effect on accuracy, but don't recall ever seeing a real good test to prove that one way or the other.
 
FWIW, I don't think I've ever seen a Single Six that was accurate, either. I've always just assumed it was the bore diameter that was the problem, since my other Ruger single action revolvers have always been pretty good.
